About Therapy With Me
Your Mind Keeps a Running List of Everything You Got Wrong
From the outside, you look like you have it handled.Inside, there’s a voice that never clocks out.
“I screwed up. Again.”
“I’m not worthy.”
It narrates your day, then replays the whole thing at night. And the world keeps feeding it. News that never stops.
Notifications that never quiet. The steady pressure to keep up, handle everything, and not fall behind while you’re at it.
The tension moves into your body and sets up house in your shoulders, your jaw, your bones. You tell people you’re fine.A louder part of you is just tired.

Set Down What You’ve Been Carrying Alone
Therapy is where you stop holding all of it by yourself.
The fear, the shame, the anxiety, the grief, the self-doubt you’ve been managing quietly for years: here, it gets witnessed and changed instead of silently managed.
That’s the part talk alone kept missing for you.
You can understand exactly why you feel the way you do and still feel it in your body the next morning.
Free Your Brain to Release What It’s Been Holding
Coping skills got you through. They’re worth having. They also work at the surface, quieting the symptom while the root stays right where it is.
EMDR reaches the root.
Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, or EMDR, helps your brain and your nervous system let go of what you’ve been carrying, so an old hurt stops driving how you feel today.
This is the deeper, longer-lasting relief that coping skills alone never gave you.The weight comes off, and it stays off.

Meet the Same Real Person Who Wrote This Page
When you call, you reach me. The same voice you’re reading right now.I talk like a person, not a textbook. Sessions are warm, honest, and yes, sometimes funny.Healing hard things doesn’t have to feel heavy every single minute.
Part of why I work this way: I’ve been the client myself. I know that chair from the inside, and it changed how I sit in mine.
Whoever you love and however you identify, you’re welcome here exactly as you are.
About Megan Quigley, LCSW
About-Headshot.jpgI became a social worker because I saw the pain people carried, and I wanted to help more.
Early on, I noticed something that stayed with me. Talking through what hurt and building skills to cope with it helped my clients, but for a lot of them it wasn’t enough.
The relief didn’t reach deep enough, and it didn’t last. That bothered me. So I went looking for more.
In 2019, I first read about eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, better known as EMDR. I wanted to offer my clients more than a place to feel seen and heard, and more than tools to get through the week. I wanted them to feel deeper, lasting relief.
That’s why I trained in EMDR therapy in 2021.
I earned my Bachelor’s in Social Work in 2011 and my Master’s in Social Work in 2013, both from the University of Nevada, Reno.
Drawn by my love of good food and the outdoors, I relocated to Portland, Oregon in 2013. I still consider it one of the most positive choices I’ve made, and I’m lucky to now call Oregon home.
When I’m not in session with my clients, I spend time practicing yoga, rock climbing, hiking, and spending quality time with friends and family. When I’m not on my yoga mat, I’m usually hunched over a jigsaw puzzle or trying out a new recipe from Deb Perelman’s Smitten Kitchen.
